Perth readers, I’ll be presenting a Novel Writing Master Class on Saturday August 15, at the writing blocksRockingham Arts Centre, 11 Kent St, Rockingham, from 11am to 2pm. I’d planned to promote it here, but all the places filled up within 15 minutes of the word going out from the organisers.

The good news is that I will be running the master class again on December 12, same time, same place. Here are the details:

This will suit writers who have completed a manuscript and need advice on turning it into a publishable novel, or for writers who have made substantial progress on a manuscript and need strategies for completing it. It’s limited to 15 participants, and you’ll be expected to bring a sample of your work for analysis and discussion by the group. I aim for a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, while staying honest!

Details on how to sign up for the December class will be provided later in the year. The master classes have been organised by the very talented Lee Battersby, who writes speculative fiction for adults and children, and whose other hat is Coordinator, Cultural Development and Arts, for the City of Rockingham.
