Audiobook News

I'm happy to share the news that the novel-length version of my story Beautiful, based on the Nordic fairy tale East of the Sun and West of the Moon, is in production now for Audible and (fingers crossed) will be released at the end of May.  A shorter, novella-length version of Beautiful appeared in the anthology Aurum, published in late 2018 by Ticonderoga. Beautiful (the novel) is in three parts. Part [...]

Progress Report December 2018

Hi loyal readers. Between technical issues and an overwhelming amount of writing to get done, I've neglected this blog completely. So sorry! I have been posting news on the Facebook Fan Page but I know not everyone chooses to use Facebook, so here is a catch-up for you. Firstly, the anthology Aurum was published by Ticonderoga Publications recently. You can purchase via their website or the usual online retailers. Aurum contains [...]

Progress Report July 2018

Hi all. I didn't realise quite how much time had passed since I posted here! I’ve been posting quite often on the Facebook Fan Page but that's no help for all the readers who don't use Facebook, so a big apology from me, and I will try to do better. I’ve been  busy getting the current book finished, and have made that my priority. To those who are waiting for replies to [...]

Warrior Bards series

I'm really happy to let you know that I'm working on a new historical fantasy series for adult readers, called Warrior Bards. The first novel, Harp of Kings, will be published by Penguin in the US in 2019, with two more books to follow. An audio book contract is looking very likely, and of course we are hoping the series will also be published in Australia and in other [...]

Update on Dutch editions of Blackthorn & Grim

I've had a lot of queries from readers in the Netherlands about the Luitingh-Sijthoff editions of Tower of Thorns and Den of Wolves.  I've been advised by the publishers that they have put the Dutch edition of Tower of Thorns on hold because of lower than expected sales for Dreamer's Pool and the Shadowfell series. I'm sad about this and I know my loyal Dutch readers are too, but there [...]

Progress report

Apologies - it's been a long time since I posted here. I'll put up a separate post about my future travel plans and appearances soon. The big question is, what am I working on now and when will it be published? I have two projects on the go, but I can't tell you a whole lot about either until my agent has definite arrangements with the publishers in question. The [...]
