Here's a selection of my photos taken in the region on which Sevenwaters is based: the Ring of Gullion in County Armagh, near the town of Newry. Strip farming over the years denuded the hill of much of its original forest, but efforts to re-plant are ongoing, with the trees in Slieve Gullion Forest Park gradually maturing. I have no lake photos because the lake road was closed when I was there. It is now a much smaller lake than the one described in the books. The images in the bottom row at the right are of two stone circles, one in County Cork and the other in Kenmare, on the way over to Fainne's part of Ireland.
